Does anyone know if there is a standard thickness for window glass i.e. 4 or 5 mm?
The windows in our house vary from 5mm to 6mm and I was wondering why some are thicker than others. They are all awning windows - aluminum frame.
Additionally in our bedroom we have large panes of glass that are flexing slightly and have a slight ripple in them.
We have asked the builder to increase the thickness and change the glass due to the ripples. Are ripples in glass a fault? One of our soon to be neighbors saw the front windows and thought the ripples were a great feature . They certainly weren't intended that way.
