Hi all,
We are replacing a bunch of windows, quite a few of them are west facing. They will be double glazed, however we are not sure on whether to get low-e, or save that money towards roller shutters.
It will probably cost $100 - $150 more per window to get low-e, compared to $600 or so per window for roller shutters.
1. Are there any issues with the low-e coating, for cleaning etc?
2. Are roller shutters better at stopping the west heat? (any idea how much better?)
So it's either low-e double glazed windows with internal blinds, or normal double glazed windows with roller blinds, AND internal blinds as well.
