They will rely on a generic rating as they manufacture timber windows. This means that their products are not tested, and yes they should be, but timber has always been around, so they are just saving money and being lazy. If you see a PVC or aluminium window and it is not in WERS, then beware, because it is likely that the window will not pass local standards, and certainly has not been tested. There are many small manufacturers, known as fabricators, who do not make their own design windows, but make say, Bradnams, Southern Star, Capral, Alspec, Dowell or AWS (Vantage), windows. These are usually listed in WERS under the fabricator's name, and you can tell by the WERS code whose brand they make. Ask your supplier whose window profiles they use. I know on their website they say they use Moen glass but that doesn't seem to be in WERS either. I'll get in touch with them and see what they can tell me. To be honest, you don't need to worry... they will be fine. Moen Glass was independent until recently and is now owned by the Australian Glass Group... no need to worry.
