It should work if we stop it short of the lintel at the top and the threshold at the bottom. I'll pass your post on to the boss. But I would take the one off the front and get a narrower one so it fits snug up to the striker plate and so that it misses your handle and lock. No cut outs... then it should look like a shop bought one !!! Pretty close anyway. Post a pic when it's finished. This will give twist in opposite direction.
