Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Mar 08, 2013 1:42 pm We have been renovating our place for 6 months now and is still going.. Now I am faced with the door issues. Our master bedroom walk in robe door opens inwards, HOWEVER, the shelving of the robe is in the way of the door to allow it open fully. We bought this home, not noticing details like this. The ex owner had the door removed and I like my robe to be shut closed. Can someone advise what options we have regarding this door issue. I have been searching high and low for solutions but came out with nothing. We were advised a sliding door but the pelmet and door will have to built outside of the wardrobe which is not a pleasant look to the master room. I looked at bi fold, sliding options which seems no go cos these requires sliding tracks. There is already a metal door framed in placed. Can some shed a light on what we could have so we can have a door to our WIR. Also, does anyone know where I could get an internal sliding door for passage way? I am in Perth. Re: Internal door problem!! 2Mar 08, 2013 1:47 pm Sorry if this is a stupid question, but can't you just attach the door in a way that makes it open outwards? Otherwise, could you make do with a not fully opening door? Nearly all the doors in my house don't open fully we have furniture blocking every furniture, hence why we can't wait to move to our new house. The frame is built in to the wall and the hinge is also built in to open inwards. It is only a 720mm size door, it is not very function-able with a door that opens only half especially a WIR. Thanks. Yeh ideally that would have been good, but have progressed too far now. Hoping some well placed internal walls fixed up into the battens will provide some… 2 3461 Thank you alexp79 and gommeqld for your advice, that's very helpful, thanks 3 6286 3 7445 |
