Had someone come and repair the old timber windos in the front/original part of the house. Now it works and can be opened...etc. However I found out that the back/extension part of the house had some very roughly made timber windows. There is no mechanism to hold the sliding windows open excpet a bolt. The windows are not in a good condition i.e. some rotting and it leaks when it rains. Should I look at installing some sort of sash cords on them or am i better off just changing the windows completely? if so, what are options I should consider? Thanks!
