Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jan 27, 2013 10:13 am Hi, I am in the process of looking at getting shutters. Our previous house we had basswood and never a problem. The company that we got in our previous home to do DS's nursery at the time also did my mum's shutters as she loved the way they did the job. She just had someone else in to quote on new shutters for another room, and he has told her that her existing shutters are definitely not Basswood even thought they were supposed to be. This now has me worried - how would a novice actually ever know if they were Basswood or not once installed - I wouldn't know. Anyone with advice on how you can confirm you're getting what you paid for would be appreciated. Either the previous company have done the dodge or the new guy is mistaken. The new guy came recomended from an interior designer who lives next door to my friend and has just completed fitting my friend, her sister and the interior designer's home and is supposed to be very good. Look forward to any help as if there is a way, I will go check out my mum's existing shutters.
