Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jan 13, 2013 9:32 am I have an older house thats being renovated and the existing front window is an old double hung sash window. I need two of these existing timber windows replaced to become double glazed(they are currently really thin glass). I am not sure which way to go with all these UPVC thats coming out. It has to keep the same style/look the council has specified but we are allowed to replace it.I think the frames are in good condition(however I'm no expert) and just the actual windows themselves will need the replacing. Im in two minds whether to go timber or upvc. I guess price will play a part and my guess is timber will be cheaper. Can anyone in melbourne recommend a company that will do this(timber) and possibly someone to try for a upvc quote. My guess is ill go down the timber path but i don't know who to use Re: Window Replacement Melbourne- recommendations 2Jan 14, 2013 12:34 pm These guys look like what you are looking for... ? http://www.windowreplacement.net.au/timber-windows/ Re: Window Replacement Melbourne- recommendations 4Jan 15, 2013 1:33 pm Can anyone recommend melb companies that are decent for upvc and preferably someone with good products-not the Asian outsourcing cheaper stuff.either australia or European made 2 2907 Can anyone recommend a good/affordable retaining wall and fence builder that I can get a quote from located in Sydney? 8 47921 Last year I had a gas leak at my house. 3 days later, I have about 1 sqm of my exposed aggregate paving broken up.
