Gap between floor and internal doors

Hi

I was wondering if someone can tell me what the standard and tolerances are for the distance between internal doors and flooring. We have about a 20mm (+/-) gap and we are not sure if that is normal coz they look big. Coz if they are not normal I need to raise it with our builder asap.

In our contract docs it mentioned that standard gap under doors is 19mm.

My gaps are under 5 mm. Nice. But then I was there when the doors were cut and asked for the minimum possible,

thanks guys. Ill have to read our contracts.

I would love 5mm gap. The annoying part is wanted the bedrooms to be soundproof so we insulated the walls and upgraded the door to would timber and now that gap is going to make all that useless.

Standards & Tolerances state "Unless additional clearance is required for removable toilet doors or air ventilation, a clearance between the door and floor finish is defective if it's greater than 20mm after installation of the floor covering"
