I am thinking about replacing the glass as I am concerned about the lead content (with toddlers running around). Does anyone know if this is a difficult or costly thing to do? Are you better off just replacing the door? Re: Replacing the glass in two doors 2Dec 04, 2012 1:33 pm You can change the glass, but doing so, they break the timber bead holding the glass in, so they will have to replace that as well. Then you have to paint the bead, but doing so you will prob need to paint the entire door to make the paint match. Weigh up the costs to change the glass, or change the door. 2 Re: Replacing the glass in two doors 3Dec 04, 2012 3:37 pm D101 I have two interior doors which have leadlight glass in them.
