Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Nov 28, 2012 8:52 am Hi All, We are in the process of building our extension and now need to buy the windows. We were originally going to get Stegbar double glazed windows but there is a delay with getting them in, so we are now looking at MTM Windows. I just wanted to see what types of differences there are between the different window manufacturers, or are they all pretty much the same? Do windows from different manufacturers look much different to each other? The windows in the rest of the house are 12 year old A & L windows. Thanks. Hi Your question is a bit like asking, are there differences between car manufacturers? Some are budget level, some are budget level rebadged and some are luxury. Builders and the window manufacturers know the differences and what to look for... visit some suppliers' showrooms, visit some display homes, and check out some building sites. Ask questions, observe... You need to look at aesthetics, quality in design and performance, quality in build and after sales service... I can tell you the answers, but then I would have to kill you... - and I am never biased... I'll visit their showrooms tomorrow but has anyone got any opinions on how these two manufacturers compare in terms of quality? Pricewise they are very similar.
