Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Sep 16, 2012 10:25 am Hey, I'm new to this forum and have really gained some useful knowledge from everyone. We have a bay window in our main bedroom and currently have aluminium venetians which lets in quite some light and doesn't look the greatest either. We are currently looking at Plantation shutters but not sure on whether it will block out anymore light then the venetians. Does anyone have any experience with bay window coverings as we are looking for something that will keep with our modern look through the house along with blocking out light. Any help is much appreciated Thanks Re: Bay Window Covering Options 2Sep 18, 2012 2:45 pm Hi mickm333, Have you looked at roller blinds? I've seen some pretty nice ones and there are plenty of options design-wise. I don't really know of the quality difference between companies but I've been recommended Mokush, maybe have a look there. Let us know how you go. Cheers =) Re: Bay Window Covering Options 4Sep 20, 2012 1:23 pm As an owner of an online Blinds business, I hope my advice might be helpful... We get this question a lot about which blinds will block out the most light. Ideally, if you can recess mount your blinds inside the bay windows, this will be the best. Roman, Roller and Panel block out the most light of all blinds. The other option is to face mount your blinds and have them almost touching each other all the way around the bay window. We have doen this in many homes before with much success.
