Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Aug 14, 2012 6:18 pm Hi guys, our internal garage door ie the door from the garage leading into our house, has a gap of 25mm between it and the floor. The raven seals or similar at bunnings don't cover that size gap Is there anything else out there that would fit ? BTW, we don't want to add a piece of timber to the bottom of the door to reduce that gap , or atleast DH doesn't This is not our door, nor is it an internal door, but this'll give you an idea of what I mean : Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ TIA Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Gap at bottom of door 3Aug 14, 2012 7:05 pm hey there Lex the door was installed after the tiling. The guy who came around to fix the defects offered to replace the original (hollow) door with a SOLID door. We thought it would be a great idea for the added security between the garage and the house! Plus it was a freebie . We didn't think that the gap would be a problem until the cockies started to visit Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Gap at bottom of door 4Aug 14, 2012 9:14 pm Southies The raven seals or similar at bunnings don't cover that size gap The Raven RP4 - Storm Proof Seal and RP54 - Daniels Rain Stop Seal can seal a 25mm gap. Bunnings should stock these or can supply them as a special order. Both of these have two parts, an aluminium strip that is fastened to the floor and a seal that is attached to the bottom of door. I left a 30mm gap under our doors when I installed them but this was reduced to ~15mm after the flooring was installed.
