Hi,
I only noticed today while cleaning outside our three month old house that along some of the windows there are gaps on the sides where the brick either finishes too short or there is a large chipped area in the brick that is meant to be flush to the window.
I then lifted up the weatherseal strip under the window and found several large gaps where the brick used has large chunks on the side. Basically if the weather strip was not there, there would be large visible gaps.
This does not appear to be right to me and surely water could easily get in to the wall. Should there not be mortar or some kind of sealing in there?
Any advice appreciated as we are just about to have our three month maintenance. The usual response from the builder is "you get that".
