Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jul 27, 2012 3:12 pm Hi All just need some advice regarding internal doors for our new home. - Firstly which one is better, Corinthian or Hume or are they basically much the same. - Secondly what are most people going for smooth skin or woodgrain. We had orginally choosen Corinthain Cambridge - Hubby really wanted the woodgrain look but they only do this door in smooth skin. Re: Interior Doors 2Jul 27, 2012 4:47 pm Hi, smooth face seems to be a more modern look finish. Corinthian and Hume are both good brands. Smooth doors are far easier to dust/wipe. Also I would look at how deep the profiles are, I got sick of wiping deep grooved doors clean of blown in dirt at my last house (although we were near the beach and got all the sea breeze through so that might make a difference!) Re: Interior Doors 3Jul 27, 2012 9:41 pm I've got plain flush doors (in one place) and the wood grain doors. They look a lot like the "Caprice" from Hume. Page 3 of my blog, not a lot of door-specific pictures though, I can show you more if you need I haven't tried to clean them yet, its one of those things where I thought I wonder if it would be better without the grain after it was in Re: Interior Doors 4Jul 27, 2012 10:23 pm Thanks guys good to know that both brands are a good choice now I just need to make a decision on style. Thanks for the pics Anon, your house looks fantastic - love your Kitchen colours. I actually do think i prefer how the wood grain looks compared to the smooth.
