Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jul 27, 2012 10:41 am Hi there, I am new here. We recently moved into a home built by Devine Homes (Edenbrook Estate, Pakenham) We need to install some Curtains above the Window Frame as it has been recommended to do this 10-15cm above(to get max light blocout etc), however we are not sure if Devine builders have a complete beam in the space above the windows/sliding door frames and the ceiling (ie Horizontally) or is it spaced vertically like support beams (eg like a ladder laying horizontal) other builders on this site have a complete beam, but we where unable to find another Devine home currently being built.(Most are finished) In other words we cant put up curtains without wood or else the Plasterboard would tear, but we assume there is some sort of wood somewhere along the line. Anyone out there who have build with Devine who know? or a Builder for Devine? Thanks in advance Re: Is there wood behind plasterboard above window frames? 2Jul 27, 2012 4:25 pm Hi There will be a space 20mm above the window, then timber right along the top.
