Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jun 10, 2012 12:23 pm Hi, I am contemplating doing away with the standard level handle on all doors and putting in place Nidus Pull Handles http://nidus.net.au/PDF%20files/Nidus%2 ... 202011.pdf with Schlage magetic door latches http://www.ingersollrand.com.au/Uploads ... _EMAIL.pdf and am wondering if anyone can provide advice on past knowledge, experience, pros cons etc. of using such a combination. As I have an open plan kitchen with these pull handles and the pantry is at the end of the hallway and it flows down to the entrance I wanted to retain the look of the handles all the way down the hall on the adjacent room doors down to the front entry. The magnetic latches have one magnet on the top of the door and the other in the jam. This can be painted over so not seen and would also mean I have no door latches or striker platers, providing a clean look for all doors with a quite solution that never wears out. I would appreciate any feedback. Peter Re: Magnetic Door Latches 2Jun 12, 2012 2:29 pm Might be OK where you dont need privacy latches on the WC bathroom and bedrooms etc, unless you like the kids barging in when you are in the middle of something. Then you will have an odd mix of both Arfur Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6349 I’m in a similar position except I’m after sliding 3 stacking doors.
