Has anyone ever installed aluminium windows and a wooden trim around the frame, so from the street front it looks like the house has wood framed windows?
If so... what is the best way to achieve this look?
Thanks!

Thanks While you are waiting for a reply... Decowood coat aluminium to look like timber, they can do the whole window, or just the "timber" frame around the window. Real timber will need lots of maintenance. Ed "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy. Apologies if this is a silly question but this is completely new to me, I do appreciate your reply and the knowledge sharing. Thanks again Re: Aluminium window frame with wooden external trim? 7Jun 01, 2012 10:36 pm Lady Dragonfly Thanks ed... so does that mean we just go ahead and let the builder (McDonald Jones) install the aluminium windows and then we can have them treated to look like wood? No, it's done to the raw material before it is cut up and assembled into a window. Ask the Decowood people who makes their windows. Ross is your man... They do decking too...
