Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 May 19, 2012 10:02 pm Hi There, We bought a terrace last year (it was built in 1996) and we are progressively discovering/ fixing its idiosyncrasies. The ensuite is small and has a door that swings inwards and hits the vanity. We would like to replace the current door with a slider. The challenge is that our bedroom has wood panelling one third of the way up the wall. In order to clear the panelling, the slider would need to sit a fair way out from the wall and panelling. When the door was closed, there would be a significant gap around the edges, which isn't ideal. My friend who is an architect suggested getting a sliding plug (?) door where the door fits into the architrave. This would address all of our challenges. The only trouble is, I don't know where to find such a mechanism. I'm not even 100% sure what it is called. I do know they exist, I just need to get my hands on one! If you can help, I would really appreciate it. Regards Ps A cavity slider is not possible I’m in a similar position except I’m after sliding 3 stacking doors.
