I ended up putting a beach umbrella in front of the window and it stopped the noise for about an hour. I'm starting to think it's the frame making the noise.. Weird... did you spay the glass both sides where it joins the aluminium? If it is expansion, it is the friction making the noise... spray the joins wherever you can see them, both sides. If that doesn't work, I am out of ideas, as I have never heard this before.
