Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 May 01, 2012 10:37 am Hi, It's my first time here as my wife and I have just brought our first house in Altona, Victoria, and we are starting the long road of renovation. I've just been thinking about some of the detailing around internal doors, and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the best way to achieve a flush door frame with shadow groove, much like in the Mainvue display home example in the photos below. Is it possible to buy door frame mouldings with this detail in it? Or is it a matter of doing some more involved plaster work around the frame? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Shannon. http://www.flickr.com/photos/41378641@N05/7130040427/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/41378641@N05/7130040289/ Re: How to achieve shadow grooves around door frames 2May 02, 2012 10:57 am That's probably a P50 plasterboard shadow mould which is put on before the gyprock goes on.
