Been lurking for a while...and this has been a very helpful forum. Thought 'bout time I ask a question, might as well make it a dumb one . Does anybody know the correct "tradey" term for the awnings on these windows. I would have though "fixed window awnings"... failing that what is the the correct term for the support brackets. And if anybody knows of a supplier in Melbourne - would love to know - local Bunnies was useless. It would need to span a 1800 mm window so the brackets and support for the colorbond would need to be reasonably substantial....any suggestions......be nice! mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Does anybody know the correct "tradey" term for th 2Feb 12, 2008 1:44 pm Welcome to the forum to_do_list!!!

The pictures that you have put up are Edwardian style, not that you probably need to know that, but that’s what I went looking for. So if you want to talk about them to someone, how you said would be correct, fixed window awnings, or just window awnings. The Brackets are just that as well, this will depend wether you are wanting to do a period style, then you will need to know what period to get the cut. Best to talk to your local hardware store, or timber store, they will give you the correct weight in the brackets for the CB awning you want. Hope this has helped. Will go again with photos... Thanks for your help.....will be posting soon on ideas for the new house.....I have a blank canvas backyard to landscape. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Does anybody know the correct "tradey" term for th 5Feb 12, 2008 6:38 pm Bunnings......say no more!
My pleasure!
