Any idea how much a bifold window would cost? Roughly 1 metre long.
It's to open our kitchen to the outside entertaining area... one of the many little things we're doing to prepare our house for sale.

It's been a great house but now we have kids and it's just too small. Not necessarily small for someone else though... This servery idea was something I saw on another house (this one: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ )and it presented beautifully for sale... and made the kitchen seem a lot bigger than it really was... the wooden bar (which my Dad could make and fit for us easily) distracted buyers from the fact the the kitchen was really pretty small and mine is even smaller and more useless. It's not something I would have for myself in my current house but at the same time can't help thinking I would have been really impressed by it when I first viewed my house... But yes you're correct in your thinking Ed, I'm wondering if $2000K is really worth it too. There's not enough room for mini french windows... I'm interested in this idea for a window opening upwards though... how did that work? Re: bi-fold window for servery 5Oct 29, 2011 7:33 am kels There's not enough room for mini french windows... It's an awning window raised by gas struts (same things that lift your boot lid on your car)... we made the first one in Melbourne some years ago... You need clearance outside. I would also look at quality decorating, and they say landscaping is the best value for increasing home value (and dads too ). Tel. 1800 326 326 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7394 |
