Hi, I need advice. We have roller blinds on the bedroom windows which we need to keep closed overnight. In the warmer months we need to have the evap cooling on overnight and therefore the windows need to be open a little bit. BUT as it is pretty windy where we are the blinds flap and make a lot of noise.
We are thinking we need to put drapes over the top (so at night we can have drapes closed, roller blinds up). Would rather not have to do this though.
What have people done to overcome this problem?

We had this problem in our last house. I always hated it & even though the evap cooling was lovely it always annoyed me.
I got some sticky foam patches and stuck them on the back where they banged. Sorry, I have a mental blank and can't think what they are called but you know the pads you stick on the bottom of furniture legs so they don't scratch the floor. They still bang but quietly!!
A bit cheaper than buying new blinds.

Thanks all, sorry for the slow response. We are getting an engineering report done this week to check out the cracks and the noise so hopefully that will shed some light…

Just to round this off, today it is a dry 37° in Melbourne at 5pm (13% humidity). Inside our house with the evap cooling working at about 70% it is 25° in the living…
