Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Sep 12, 2011 11:49 pm We are building with a roughly usual amount of "normal" size windows and sliding doors , but also with 1 large section of north facing glass " floor to ceiling" of approx 13m W by 3m H incorporating 2400H fixed glass panels with 600mm panels above (every 3rd one opening) There are a few ways of doing this , but the most likely/affordable way would be 3 windows each with 2 mullions - keeping the glass size to something workable. All the windows in the house will be double glazed Does the large section of glass push us in to the are of "commercial" manufacturers or are we still within the bounds of normal residential glazing and... who would you recommend we be talking to in Melbourne (good experiences ) for this type of project. Will consider timber, aluminium or pvc Thanks for any help with this ..... If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time. At 17m long you need it… 1 15631 There is evidence of water on the head reveals. That could have happened during the build, or may be happening currently. There are water stains above a couple of windows… 2 3826 |
