Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jul 04, 2011 12:36 pm When I planned the wardrobe fitouts for our bedrooms, I discussed with the builder and agreed on 3 sliding panels per wardrobe. I had envisioned a 3-track system where the doors could all be stacked behind one another at one end. What was installed was 2-track framing which means that two panels share one track with the third panel on the other track. We can only ever expose two-thirds of the wardrobe at any one time - a big PITA! Had a better look at the tracks this morning - there is a track along the floor and then a track at the top of the doors so it will be really easy to replace with 3-track framing if it exists. Does anyone know what brand these tracks might be so I can call and see if they have 3-track framing? Anyway, I'm sure you can get a three groove track and fairly certain they have this at Bunnings, or otherwise your local shower screen or window manufacturer...that's if your builder (like mine) won't fix it. If your sliders are like mine, they are simply lifted then lowered into position on the track with removal being the reverse. Remove the tracks (screwed in place) replace with new tracks and lift doors into position again. Isn't it a pita when they don't listen...or maybe they do, but instead go ahead and do things the way 'they' want, as opposed to what 'you' want. Yes, DH said that I am noticing it more because I am unpacking and putting things away in different parts of the same cupboard - down the track it might not be such a PITA, to me anyway. My daughter has to slide the doors one way to access shelves and then the other to access her hanging space - a long term PITA for her! Normally you use builders bog.
