Anyone have these in their home?
I would appreciate any opinions or feedback anyone has on these blinds. I haven't been able to find any comments in my search on this forum...maybe they aren't very good

When I think fabric blinds, Roman blinds are predominant. Fabric should lend a voluptuous texture to a room and nothing does this better than Roman blinds (second to panel-glides). I seriously doubt you'll find much feedback on fabric Venetians. They're not very popular (yet!). Windows are pathways to the soul of your home. Roman blinds do look great and we are considering them for our living area and theatre, but they don't give a lot of privacy when they are open for a bedroom. I am after a blind that I can open to let light in, but still give privacy. I like the look of venetians and the ventex fabric venetians seemed to have a nice soft look for a bedroom. This whole selecting blinds is making my head spin Re: Ventex Fabric Venetians 4Jun 25, 2011 7:39 pm PeasInAPod This whole selecting blinds is making my head spin BUT, .... think about dust and cleaning. Venetians are notorious for collecting dust. Add fabric to that !! We have a shutter blind, totally smooth surface, but I can't believe how much dust settles there Never again! So, for me it would be a toss between verticals (yes ) and rollers - for a clean simple look. Possibly shears on top. I was thinking of shutter blinds for the front facade, and they would look amazing, but can't imagine myself dusting (washing) 10 fiddly blinds ... unless someone has a great tip on how to clean them with no difficulty in 10 minutes and every 6 months only Panels are also great lookers, but for me not practical as they have to be either drawn or not , you can't just tilt them to control the sun and privacy. My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Ventex Fabric Venetians 5Jul 13, 2011 1:00 pm I have experience in these blinds - they collect dust and they don't block out light. So don't use them for a child's bedroom. If you need to air and light control, Timber or Timber-look venetian blinds are great (the darker the colour, the more light they seem to block out). And depending on your budget, timber shutters are fabulous. There are plenty of good synthetic ones on the market, even made in Australia. They are very easy to clean and will do everything you need, and look great! Windows are pathways to the soul of your home. Visit Aesthetic Blinds Brisbane for Stylish Window Coverings |
