Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 May 14, 2011 9:15 am Hi, I wandered through my place which is being built and noticed that after the brick cladding went on the stacker door doesn't close properly, with a gap down the bottom unless you really force it. I'm not sure if the image below captures it very well so click here for a higher resolution to see. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Obviously this will need to be fixed. Is it a dud door or is it being squeezed out of square by the bricks, or can that even be discerned from a photo? Is it something that is easier to fix if it's addressed now, during the build? Or can it wait for later (i.e. inspection). Should I nag my SS about it? I hate sliding doors that don't slide smoothly or seal properly. Hopefully this is going to be an easy fix! Check the jamb for plumb. It it's plumb then the door will easily be adjusted to suit. If not, let your supervisor know as there may not be enough adjustment. Brickies often lever the doors to suit brickwork, it's not right, but they do it.
