Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Apr 10, 2011 8:02 pm Hi Guys Just wondering if anyone has used Timber Venetians on their sliding door? What is your experience with this? Let's say you have a sliding door with four seperate panels - the outer two being fixed and the centre two opening... would you get four or two seperate blinds? Any pics you have would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks! Re: Timber Venetians on Sliding Doors?? 2Apr 13, 2011 1:28 am Hi Snoofie, My last house had a 4 panel slider with the centre two opening, and I had 4 separate timber venetian blinds on it. The blind installer actually recommended that, as they said 2 blinds would be quite heavy for the width of slider that I had, plus it means you can still keep the side ones closed if you just want to open up the sliding door for a moment. My partners last house also had the same type of 4 panel slider with centre two opening but it was a little narrower, and he had 3 separate blinds on it - one each side the same size as the two fixed panels, then one central blind twice the size that covered the two sliding panels. I hadn't seen that done before then, but he said that was recommended by his blind installer, as many people want to open or hold the handle of the both doors when they open them.
