Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Mar 01, 2011 2:43 pm Hi all, My wife and I have finally settled on timber bifolds for the opening leading from family room onto covered outside deck as part of our home extension. Can anyone recommend a company/joiner in Sydney? I live in Brighton Le Sands. I have checked out Stegbar, Roseville Joiners, Doorsmart but unsure of who to go with. I liked that Roseville Joiners would do a 4 door bifold (opening is roughly 3.3m) in rosewood but thought that the $5K quote a little pricey- or is that typical? Thanks Re: Advice on who to go to for Timber bifolds 2Mar 01, 2011 2:57 pm pman1971 I liked that Roseville Joiners would do a 4 door bifold (opening is roughly 3.3m) in rosewood but thought that the $5K quote a little pricey- or is that typical? Thanks Sorry, don't know Sydney suppliers... but your price is above average for a standard timber bifold door, and real Rosewood as I understand it, only comes in short lengths... so guessing this is veneer? or stain? If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time. At 17m long you need it… 1 17695 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors. But I'm not sure… 3 6141 |
