Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Feb 24, 2011 8:10 am Has anyone got any thoughts about which company to go for when choosing BAL40 windows (we have 2 elevations in Flame zone, so they have to be BAL40 with bushfire shutters)? We can't afford double glazing, so we don't really have many options - i.e. 5mm toughened glass... or 5mm toughened glass! We have HEAPS of windows, so we have to be careful with costs. So far we have only found Trend and Bradnams that do them - and Bradnams only started very recently (they were getting the CSIRO testing). We have to chose this week, as we need to give dimensions to the truss manufacturers & both companies seem to have different standard sizes (well Trend do, & their sizes are different to what we had originally specced, but Bradnams can do any size). Thoughts appreciated!!! Lucy House burned down: 3 April 2010 DA approval: 15 December 2010 (Yep, it took THAT long!)
