Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jan 28, 2011 7:44 pm Hey guys, We are building our new townhome in glenfield/sydney. I need help in deciding where to buy blinds from? I would like roller blinds and need advice on whether i should go for a package deal of blinds, security doors and fly-screens and get everything installed or should I go for blinds separate and install them ourselves and get the rest done professionally. also can anyone recommend cheap but quality places for both package deals and just blinds thanks Re: Blinds, flyscreens and Security doors 2Jan 29, 2011 9:13 pm We are getting our Window company to supply & install our fly screens, and have just decided to get our roller blinds from Accent at Penrith. They do the installation as well. We have found their pricing to be more competitive than other companies that also do the installation. In fact I think in the month of February they are offering free installation (you need to agree to the order not have them installed in February). At this stage we are not getting security screens. Re: Blinds, flyscreens and Security doors 5Feb 20, 2011 10:16 pm Hi CJ!! How is your build coming along. I think we are probably 2-3 months off from now. We are also looking the same types of things. We got a quote for the verticals from Kresta and it came to about 2.5k.. which seemed reasonable for 2 story house.. What quotes did you end up getting? We'll be getting more quotes (hopefully soon as I can't stand our taped windows any more ) but I did make some quick inquiries and am very surprised (ie. disappointed) to see what kind of materials there are for verticals these days . There's one that is different on face and the "rear", so the rear looks really wrong . And then there's the basic plastic one, whihc at least looks the same both sides, but is very, very plain. Saw some litttttttle bit better fabric at a curtain place, but still not what I had in mind And I can just imagine the price tag for the non-basic ones. Hmmmm ...
