Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Dec 30, 2010 11:47 am For those of you with double entry doors, do you have just one handle or two (one on each door)? Also, can you open both doors at the sane time, Eg when entering the house or do can you only open one, and then have to undo the deadlock in order to open the other one? I can't see it If its like my parents, they are little key locks recessed into the door jamb face that lock into the doorframe top and bottom Re: Double entrance doors 11Dec 30, 2010 9:53 pm CC101 only one handle on double door?? - would that not look very odd I don't think it looks odd at all. The handles are not the feature, the doors are. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Re: Double entrance doors 14Dec 31, 2010 4:00 pm We have double doors with one handle. We may well add a dummy handle to the other door down the track, so yes you can add another handle later. You can open one door with the handle, but you will always have to open the other door by undoing the bolts (top and bottom) so it really only needs a dummy handle if you want a handle on it. If one door isn't fixed by bolts, the doors won't stay closed at all. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself.
