Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Dec 15, 2010 5:35 pm Hi Guys, Only new to this site. Im currently owner building and was wondering if anyone had some insights in regards to how to prevent flies from entering the house when bi-fold doors are open. I am aware of the retractable screens which have become available lately, however i am after something which is a little less of an eyesore and will not obstruct the flow from indoors to outdoors. One system which i have come across is sort of like an "air screen system" where air is forced down from above the door by an air condition type unit. It is probably most commonly seen at shop enterances however im wondering if there is a domestic version of this unit available. If anyone has any insight regarding this type of system (ie price, where to get it etc) or if you know of a better system, your input would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about putting in hanging beads - I have them in my current house and the flies are bad. There are these little one that are too quick to swat and I swear my fly spray isn't killing them. I was evaporative keeps flies out? Because it flows out the doors?? However I recently went to a party at a friend's house and she was showing me her Bug Vac which she placed inside and the bugs are lured to the blue light and then drop into water. She said that before she used the Bug Vac, there used to be bugs all over the ceiling around the light at night (when doors are open) however there wasn't a single one when we were there. Bugs did not bother us the entire night, so I know exactly what I'll be buying.
