Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Nov 05, 2010 10:49 pm I am thinking of buying some used double glazed sliding doors. They are UPVC windows, Ecoclassic brand, but are being sold without the reveals. They will be fitted in an existing rectangular gap in a bric garage wall. Do I need to mount the upvc frame in a new hardwood rectangle ( I think this is wat the reveal is? ), before the window can be fitted, or can it be fitted directly onto a wood frame, with no reveals in the brick space again how would I fit the upvc to the frame? cheers Re: Fitting secondhand upvc sliding doors missing reveal 2Nov 05, 2010 11:16 pm If it's into a brick wall, you generally don't use reveals (though you can). Instead screw through the frame of the door. Make sure it is packed and is square.
