Definiately recommend a fan for the outdoors under cover area's. On those hot sticky nights when you want to be outside and there isn't a breeze in sight - a $40 fan that is very cost effective to run is well worth the investment.

Steve Re: Bifold doors 22Jan 17, 2008 10:35 am ![]() Hi This has been something that I have been wondering - Living in Melbourne - Are the bifold doors practical - We can keep it open only in summer and with all the flies/insects is it practical? Thanks yep speaking of flies and fly poo elsewhere.....this is what Ive been wondering too! have you used the new mortein stickers that you stick on windows that the flies are attracted to, taste then go away to die, wonder if they work Re: Bifold doors 23Jan 17, 2008 10:59 am Have you ever wondered why you don’t see many flies in display homes, and why they have ceiling fans in the alfresco?
Quote: Ceiling Sweep Fan - Everyone has seen ceiling fans used indoors but they also work extremely well under your pergola. The moving air will not only keep you cool but keep flies away too. http://www.clipsal.com/consumer/product ... _backyards Re: Bifold doors 24Jan 12, 2009 7:36 pm ![]() Have you ever wondered why you don’t see many flies in display homes, and why they have ceiling fans in the alfresco? I do wonder if the ceiling fans do work. Of course - that's what kills the flies... ![]() Re: Bifold doors 26Jan 12, 2009 8:12 pm ![]() ![]() Hi This has been something that I have been wondering - Living in Melbourne - Are the bifold doors practical - We can keep it open only in summer and with all the flies/insects is it practical? Besides of physical barrier of course. Re: Bifold doors 28Jan 13, 2009 5:50 pm My main concern with the bi-fold doors apart from the flies and bugs coming in, how well does it's mechanism last? Will it get stucked easily, or the rolling part ont eh rail comes off easily? I tried the bi-fold doors at one of PD's display home today, and it's quite hard to manage if you're only using one hand. The rolling thing on the rail didn't feel too smooth. I was afraid if i pull it harder, the whole thing might fall off!! The ceiling fan is on, as awalys, and I didn't notice any flys inside the house. Maybe it does work wonder! But again, when there's no food or drink of any types inside a display house, flies and bugs are better off going somewhere else!! ![]() Also, mind that a fairly insulated garage will retain heat much longer out of a hot car engine, whilst this is welcome in winter, it could mean that you could only park… 3 5247 ![]() 1 2766 ![]() |
