Hi! this is my very first post so be kind! i have searched the topic but got lost so i am posting this. If there is already an answer here i apologise!
I am planning to renovate an old house which was built in 1952; extended in 1972 and again in 1985. (yes most of it is asbetos sheet) It has a lot of wooden windows of the old awning and double awning style, some of which are damaged from a break-in. Question - can the awning windows be removed and new aluminium sliding windows made to replace them without removing the outer frame? or do new frames also need to be made?
