Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Oct 11, 2010 6:55 pm I am having a mainly white house as follows: Roof/gutters/fascia/window frames :Surfmist External Walls: Parchment Internal Walls/doors: Natural white Am now deciding betweem suftmist and natural white for the entrance door for the following reasons: 1) Entrance door in sufmist will match the roof/gutters/fascia/window frames 2) Entrance door in Natural white will match the internal walls/doors. Am keen to hear opnions on which of the two colours is more suitable for the entrance door. Thanks in advance! Re: Entrance door - match external or internal colours? 2Oct 11, 2010 7:05 pm It's perfectly fine to paint your entrance (front door) in different colours. Match the exterior face to the façade, and inside face to your interior scheme. Re: Entrance door - match external or internal colours? 4Oct 11, 2010 7:22 pm Our front door is the same inside and out. Other doors like laundry are different inside to the out. I think stormy might have put up some pics of how her door frame looks where the different colours meet. ours is stained on the outside and white on the inside. I like the look of your Antique White USA interiors - did you use it for most of your internals? The samples at the shops of Antique White USA looked a lot more "yellowy" which is making me consider Natural White instead. Re: Entrance door - match external or internal colours? 10Oct 12, 2010 12:15 pm yes we used it everywhere - walls, ceilings, doors, trims - the archs, doors, skirting boards etc are all in gloss. I think if anything it throws a pinkish hue againt whiter whites, but on its own all I can see is white "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Was there any reason why you chose the trims in gloss vs semigloss? Re: Entrance door - match external or internal colours? 12Oct 12, 2010 2:40 pm um... cause I like shiny things the semi-gloss doesn't provide enough of a contrast for me!
