We are having a slight problem with the door into our open plan lounge, kitchen from our entrance way. It is a door that will stay open 95% of the time. We have two options.
Option 1- single cavity sliding door
Am worried this might look a bit informal. If we did this would we be best to make it one with a timber framed glass one to dress it up a bit? It does give us the best use of space.
Option 2- is a regular door that opens in to the lounge room swinging all the way back (180 deg) so that it rests on the wall (there is no corner near this door). The problem with this is the door will always be open and open right back to next to the tv entertainment unit. It may limit us in what units we can also buy.
We don't want it to open into the entrance way as it will rest opposite the front door and that is what you will see every time you open the front door.
Any opinons would be greatly appreciated.
