Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Aug 02, 2010 12:07 pm hi I'm wondering if I should get Bradnams (the window supplier) to tint my windows from the factory or to get an aftermarket film tint? The guy at bradnams said they impregnate the glass with the tint and told me the aftermarket always has the risk of peeling off. Bradnams use a product called "Solar Block" thanks, Daniel. The other downside is that film tinting is much more exy My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: should I get factory window tinting or aftermarket tinti 5Aug 05, 2010 9:13 am On this subject, can anyone recommend brands of film or particular contractors for tinting around Melbourne? I will need one or two windows done which are almost west facing. I really want to stop the UV without those windows looking too different from the rest of the house (i.e. won't look like 2 silver windows from the outside!). I want to get some ideas/info about how to manage an 80 year old factory restoration to convert to a residence. The factory floor is concrete… 0 6338 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)? If the sun hits a window directly it doesn't matter too much if it's double or single… 1 12647 9 24751 |
