Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jul 19, 2010 7:16 pm hi I'm wanting to put a double door over the opening to my rumpus room. The opening is 2400mm high x 3000mm wide I understand at 2400mm high cavity sliders can be a problem with bowing etc, and I'm not sure about 2400 x 1500 cavity sliders either Does anyone have any ideas? thanks Daniel. Re: double sliding doors for 2400 x 3000 opening? 2Jul 19, 2010 8:49 pm I certainly hope 2400 mm high cavity sliders don't bow, since that's what I'm getting. having said that, the widths are only 920 mm each. If you are really worried, what about putting in an metal angle (actually a T-piece) into the far end of the door. This would provide some bracing that should certainly take a 2400 mm high door beyond the performance of a 2100 mm high door. Oh, and make sure the door is sealed and painted on all six faces.
