Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jul 03, 2010 1:46 pm Hi guys we are doing our own renos at the moment and I need some advice. we have just had the house restumped, but for a number of reason theres is a 2mm decline in the kitchen which couldnt be helped, we have installed a new kitchen and just got new benchtops done. the problem is that with the decline in the kitchen, and i think when my husband and dad installed the kitchen it may have been out by a mm or so, so now there is a noticeable difference when looking at the window sill, as we had to take the bottom of the windowsill off to pop in the kictchen as it was a very low window, so now Im wondering what to do to fix the issue.....i have attached some photos but its quite hard to see basically from the left hand side of the window theres is a gap of approx 4mm above the benchtop and then it slopes down so on the right of the window sill it is actually about 1 mm below the benchtop..... how can we make this look a bit more level?? http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy85 ... one032.jpg http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy85 ... one031.jpg http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy85 ... one030.jpg http://i780.photobucket.com/albums/yy85 ... one028.jpg any suggestions would be amazing...i hope ive explained it well enough.... have a good day mich Re: window and benchtop not level...what would you do?? 2Jul 03, 2010 5:05 pm You need to work out whether it is the kitchen which isnt level or the window itself.
