You need to consider all your requirements before choosing what is best FOR YOU. With regard to environmental profile, most carpet and underlay manufacturers will have their own blurb. Myself, I lean towards quality rubber underlay. But Dunlop also have benefits, which may be better in some climates. Its hard to say which is better for the environment, so I wouldn't get bogged down about this. Ash.
