We are building down the beach and wonder whether it is better to go for aluminium (powder coated) or timber windows. Also - what is better sliding or wind out windows especially as far as having locks installed.
Thanks for any help

In fact, they are far less likely to corrode than timber that could rot. If you have concerns though, have you also considered PVC windows? Wind out windows are better from a locking point of view. Much harder to open or break a lock on a wind out window. Also, even unlocked, you can't wind them from the outside. On the beach you must look at wind resistance... Ed "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy.
