Can anyone give me a ballpark figure? Can anyone give me a ballpark figure? Thanks Guessing $200/m2... you can buy clear safety film which will do the same thing for $30. Provided it's ground floor. I was hoping it would be under $1000, so hopefully your estimate is right. I would guess there would be about 4m2 all up (there are 4 sections). It's on the first floor. Window film will stop glass breaking into small sherds but will not stop the whole pane from coming out. The alternative is laminated glass, which should be quicker as they can cut it to size from stock. Get several quotes for toughened and laminated. First floor may require scaffold, depending on your window design. Scaffold will increase the price by about $300.
