I must do something with our windows, it's cold here and the cold falls literally in the house. We have a big Aluminum sliding door, approx. 2 m width which is the worst window.
Everyone told me that I must sew curtains with pelmets as the pelmets trap the cold. But I really do not like the look as we like more a modern easy going style.
I also consider to make blinds, however they are so much more work.
curtains or blinds I would sew them both with some padding in the middle, so it would have a more quilted look.
Panels would be great as well, but it must not exceed our handyman possibilities.
The best thing would be wooden shutters on the outside, simple ones not plantation shutters, but I guess they would be quite expensive. However we are in a cool climate and the expenses of insulation pay for itself.
Any great ideas?
