Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Apr 03, 2010 8:10 pm We have all doors, windows & skirtings (interior & exterior surfaces) finished in oil stain. Mrs B would like all interior timber repainted in gloss white. Is this going to look wierd (say a sliding door or window, stained brown on one side & painted gloss white on the other)? Re: Repainting WRC windows & doors 2Apr 04, 2010 3:23 pm Well firstly, nothing Mrs B suggests would look weird. I don't think it's so unusual to have different coloured windows & doors inside & out. Ours are actually painted inside & out & we are are stripping the inside back to WRC. Re: Repainting WRC windows & doors 3Apr 04, 2010 5:38 pm Thanks, after 20 years of brown skirts its time to go white. I was a bit concerned about the mixed finish on the Stegbar cedar windows & doors. Is acylic gloss the appropriate finish (over a suitable undercoat). I don't know them all, the first 2 top of your list are best known. Rylock is a good company, Stegbar is for sale. 4 16243 Flashings over doorways and windows our carpenter has installed flashings that is buckled and short of the window frames and door frames is this right Is there a… 0 10934 we have a standard size and often we have a lot of variety to choose 0 3579 |
