Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Mar 01, 2010 12:51 pm We thought we had found a solution to dressing these 3 big doors and chose e-screens and jamaican blinds. They got installed the week we moved in and since then (a month)....we have had problems with them. The Jamaicans that were delivered got holes in them...and the supplier kept replacing them. The jamaicans were also quite heavy and didn't sit on the wall very well. What was discovered after jamaican number 7 was replaced...was that the combination of the e screens and jamaicans is a bad one. When pulling up the jamaicans...the fabric rubs against the roller of the e-screens which was why we got holes. The poor manufacturer copped the blame initially. I need something light filtering for the late afternoons/early evenings as we cop the setting sun and it's very blinding when I'm trying to cook. The supplier has given us the option of returning the jamaicans, returning the e-screens or returning the whole lot. I need help quickly...and if you can show me photos...I'd appreciate it too. What do you need them to withstand? If it's normal wear and tear, then either will do, if you want resistance to ingress then laminated would be the favourite, but only… 1 12390 Thank you @.
