Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Feb 22, 2010 6:44 pm Can anyone help with this question. I recieved a quote for a screen door for our sliding door. $500 for the galvanised mesh or $650 for the stainless steel mesh. I know they both look the same but cant really find any information on the difference between the 2. Which is the better choice !!!! Thanks Re: Difference b/w Galvanised and Stainless Steel Mesh doors 2Feb 23, 2010 2:17 pm Difference is usually only that Galvanised mesh can wear down over time in areas that are close to the sea. Stainless steel will never rust. Up close, stainless steel also looks better. Some not most of the tea stains have come off the mailbox with soap & water. Have just bought the 3M s/s clean & polish spray & have yet to use. Our brand new Bosch s/s dishwasher has 'tea stains' on the front panel which the 3M product won't remove , so I have serious doubts that it will fix my mailbox. If you have any suggestions as to what product will do the job, I would be very grateful.
