Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jan 28, 2010 3:02 pm Hi, Has anyone done their blinds/shutters through Tiptop Blinds in Clayton? Found Victory to be too expensive. Similiarly Dollar cutains is dearer- so both are out! Close quotes from Curtain warehouse, curtain direct, impact curtains etc. I like the quote by tiptop blinds as its for the same material- 'Elegance' 100% blockout roller. Awaiting quote from intoblinds. Any help is appreciated. Also, anyone's got another recommendation, pls post it here or PM me.(Not looking for online ones as I can do installation or the measure by myself) I am surprised how the same fabric can vary between $2k to 3k with the above suppliers. Cheers Radhika Re: TIPTOP BLINDS- Clayton(Melbourne) 2Jan 30, 2010 9:04 pm I used to be a property manager and we used Tip Top all the time for our rental properties etc and they offered a great service and never any problems with thier products. Another good blind company which I used on my own house and on some display homes was The Blind Factory (i originally found it online at www.theblindfactory.com.au), I think they are in Boronia or South East somewhere but they were the cheapest and our blinds look fantastic. Good luck. Building at Sierra Estate. Re: TIPTOP BLINDS- Clayton(Melbourne) 3Jan 31, 2010 7:01 pm Great- Thanks for your reply...I will be meeting Julia tomorrow morning Re: TIPTOP BLINDS- Clayton(Melbourne) 4Feb 28, 2010 5:35 pm We found that Tip Top's first quote was not the final one and they were a bit chaotic so didn't go with them. We dealt with so many people there without success. But please keep us informed as to your experience as I might give them another chance for the rest of the house. Re: TIPTOP BLINDS- Clayton(Melbourne) 5Feb 28, 2010 7:13 pm I used MTC Blinds, after getting quotes from about 5 of the 'normal' companies were were happiest with the price and service from them. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/2Hundred/General/House/IMG_6915.jpg Re: TIPTOP BLINDS- Clayton(Melbourne) 6Mar 02, 2010 9:54 am I finally booked in Into blinds.. My blinds are yet to be installed but I got a good price with them. Have found a few positive reviews too so I am pretty confident I made the right decison. Re: TIPTOP BLINDS- Clayton(Melbourne) 7Dec 14, 2010 1:04 pm I bought an outside awning from Tip Top Blinds (sic) a couple of years ago. Now I need to have it fixed because it is broken. I have rung them up seven times to come out and repair it and they have not even bothered replying. They have an implied warranty to provide the service to get my blind working but they couldn't care less. Consumer Affairs Victoria are now in the loop. Stay away from this mob if you think you deserve proper service.
